This is an excellent mix of Hip-Hop and Rap, underpinned by a Dub-Regga vibe. Witness (One-Hope) pushes forward like a hammer to the head, while other tracks take a darker route to the cortex.. This album really does not put one foot wrong. It raw, gritty and vibrant; plus it distict UK feel should be a signal to all UK rappers: The time is NOW! |

Nore (aka Noreaga) is at his best in 'straight-up' Gansta mode, rapping over driving beats and tightly-looped samples.. The album kicks-in with the excellent 'Nothing', but then seems to loose its way. Tracks like 'Mr. CEO' make you wonder where its all going (while 'Love Ya Moms' is particully trite). But then around the middle of the whole thing. Nore just kicks-off; which some excellent beats in what is - obviously - his home territory: Down with his crew... |

Don't let the alubum cover fool you. Cee-Lo Green is most definitely a soul man at heart... This mix of (primarily) Funk and Soul just sounds sooo cool.. Ok perhaps "spend the night in your mind" does verve into Theophilus P. Wildebeeste territory.. but on the whole this is a solid piece of work.. |
